After a gruelling obstacle course featuring burpees and box jumps amongst other activities, hundreds of hungry Marines were happy to see the friendly faces from USO Camp Pendleton recently.
Volunteers and staff from the center, which is due to open in late summer, turned out to support the SNCO Academy’s advanced course field day at Camp Pendleton.
Center Director, Ann Jarvis, said two staff members and two volunteers served burgers and hot dogs to over 340 Marines during the field day, which was held at Paige Field.
The advanced course is undertaken by gunnery sergeants and is designed to teach decision making and senior leadership skills.
