Smiles and hugs were the order of the day when USO Camp Pendleton staff and volunteers joined with family and friends at a recent welcome home gathering.

With tables full of snacks and drinks and a poster making station, USO Camp Pendleton was on hand to support the cute kiddos, new babies and anxious spouses and families gathered together at the Marine Corps Air Station Camp Pendleton.

The 200 members of HMLA 369 returned to Camp Pendleton after a six month deployment to Japan.

A new initiative was also a popular addition to the welcome home celebration - a “Freshen Up Station” for spouses, stocked with mints, make up, and many other beauty items.

USO Camp Pendleton staff and volunteers were also lucky enough to witness a surprise engagement, with one Marine proposing to his girlfriend as he stepped off the bus.
