Providing support to commands welcoming Marines home from other parts of the world is a special privilege for USO Camp Pendleton staff and volunteers.
Recently USO Camp Pendleton has been able to attend a number of homecomings across the base, welcoming Marines home from Australia and the Middle East amongst other places.
Waiting with the families for the buses to pull into view, USO Camp Pendleton staff and volunteers set up tables stocked with snacks to feed the hungry and eager crowd and help kiddos make posters with special welcome home messages.
Staff and volunteers also set up and man a “Freshen Up” station for spouses and other family members, stocked with toiletries, mints and all those last minute essentials.
