Summer has been the time for some mandatory fun on Camp Pendleton, with units across the base holding family days.
And USO Camp Pendleton has been on hand to help out wherever it can.
Programs manager Tracy Genica said the center had helped out with a number of family days all over the base.
“They’ve been held mainly at Lake O’Neill and Del Mar Beach and we bring along some outdoor games and sometimes provide some type of food,” she said.
“We’ve also been doing a candy bar for the kids and that has been really fun.
“They can decorate a little box with I love Camp Pendleton stickers and then pick and choose the candy they like and take it home.
“To be honest, the young Marines seem to like it as much as the kids do.”
